Dermaplaning
WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?
Dermaplaning can also be known as skin razoring, or skin shaving. It is a safe and non-invasive treatment that is simple method of exfoliation designed to remove the dead skin cells on the top layer of skin with a small surgical blade. This can benefit all skin types due to its brightening properties, it evens out the skin tone, removes all vellus hair leaving the skin brighter softer and smoother, make-up will glide over the skin much easier after this treatment.
HOW OFTEN IS IT RECOMMENDED TO HAVE THIS TREATMENT?
It is recommended to have this treatment every 5 weeks for optimum results.

30 – 45 MINUTES
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
Not at all, this treatment is completely pain free!, effortless with minimal down time.
WILL THE HAIR NOT GROW BACK THICKER?
This is one of the most common asked questions, the answer is NO as it is only VELLUS hair we are removing.
WHAT IS VELLUS HAIR?
Vellus hair is short, thin, slight- colored, and barely noticeable thin hair that develops on most of a person’s body during childhood. Exceptions include the lips, the back of the ear, the palm of the hand, the sole of the foot, some external genital areas, the navel, the forehead and scar tissue.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
ne session of dermaplaning usually removes up to several weeks of dead skin build up, sometimes unto 30 layers of skin is dead, leaving you with a fresh layer of skin that looks and feels smooth, radiant and brand new. After dermaplaning, your skin- care products absorb better and your follicles are less likely to fill up with dead skin, oil, and debris.
WILL THIS HELP MY ACNE?
I would not advise derma planing to anyone with active acne, derma planing over active acne would cause spread of infection to the rest of the skin, causing irritation and redness. if the acne area is small we can work around it very carefully.
